REVIEW - Inked on Paper by Nicole Edwards

Nicole Edwards' second ever STAND-ALONE is HERE!

BLURB

Chapter One...

What happens when you don’t know what comes next?

Jacob Wild has had a lucrative writing career, but somewhere along the way he misplaced his muse. Now, unable to put anything on paper, he’s resorted to hanging out in the neighborhood coffee shop with a pen and paper, trying to find something to spark his creativity again.

That’s when he meets her.

Presley Abrams.

The coral-haired, tattooed beauty with the piercing gray eyes and sweet smile draws his attention in a way no woman before her ever has. Jake soon learns that when he’s around her his world is set to rights once more. Presley sparks something inside him and not just his ability to put words on paper.

But, Presley’s not the easiest woman to get close to and Jake finds himself trying to answer the burning question:

Does happily ever after only exist in fiction?

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What a tantalizing read... Inked on Paper was an unexpected treat. I knew it was going to be good but it surpassed all my expectations. Nicole Edwards is amazingly talented. This is a story within a story and it will keep you turning the pages.

Jacob Wild is a well known author who has found himself in a slump. He is suffering from writers block, with a deadline just around the corner.

Presley Abrams Uniquely beautiful, talented tattoo artist, and ink model who is going through a bit of a creativity block herself.

While both are in search for their muse, could they possibly find happily ever after ?

Inked on Paper is a standalone, but I could definitely go for more of ALL the character in this story.

REVIEW - Assassin's Kiss by Sharon Kay

BLURB

Locking emotions away is how Scorpio survived years as a conscripted killer. Now, as a Lash Watcher, he uses the same lethal skills to help his fellow warrior demons maintain peace in the realms. When a mission goes awry, he finds himself a thousand miles from home with no weapons or comms. Injured and alone, he is taken in by a group of witches who know him well.
And want him dead.
Tessa’s affinity with metal makes her one of the most powerful witches in her coven. Her deepest wish is to stop the oppression of her people—a direct result of her former leader’s murder. She agrees to marry the chief of a rival coven, knowing it won’t be a love match. But she abandoned the idea of a soul-deep bond long ago. Especially one with the rough, former mercenary warrior who shows up and claims she belongs to him.
Even from behind bars, the longer Scorpio stays, the more he unsettles Tessa and she questions all she thought she knew. Choosing him will put everyone she cares for at risk. He’s nothing like she expected, and the last thing she could dare to want.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4.5 Stars Let me just start off by saying I am not usually a fan of the whole paranormal, urban fantasy, witches and so on. I have tried a few times to read them in the past, but was never able to finish them so I steered clear of them. When I realized I had agreed to review an ARC copy of Assassin's Kiss by my own error I must say I was a little worried. But OMG I absolutely, positively, without a doubt enjoyed this story. Easy to connect with the character, they are sexy and strong , Scorpio is all alpha male. Tessa is loyal. The story line is great and easy to follow, The secondary I completely enjoyed. Over all a wonderful read.

Scorpio is Dalamos personal mercenary. When he is ordered to eliminate the mage to protect his sister, he is cursed by a witch.. Fast forward over a hundred years Scorpio is injured when a explosive spell sets off his transportation amulet landing him on the Bronwy River. He become captured by witches and the coven want him dead. Tessa is a witch and she has suffered plenty due to the actions of Scorpio. She despises him for putting her in the position she is in, in order to bring peace to her coven.

I have not read the first book Tainted Kiss (Watcher's Kiss #1) in this series, I was able to read Assassin's Kiss (Watcher's Kiss #2) without any issues or feeling lost.

I would definitely recommend this story. It has open my eyes to the paranormal, fantasy world. I will be going back and reading the first book in this series..

Review
Stylo Fantome is Amazing..

Out of Plans  will keep you on the edge of your seat. This is so well written. Stylo has an amazing talent of bringing her stories to life.  The book gets going right from the start and doesn't stop. It's inventive, fun, funny, unpredictable, and exhilarating. The only thing wrong with it is that it ends.  We also have a few new   characters added to the mix.  One is a particular  drug lord that I think I have developed a small crush on.

After months of Laws training Lily is ready to finish what she started. What she doesn't expect is to run into Marc.  Sparks fly, tempers sore, but the connection these two have is undeniable.

I am hoping for more on Kingsley soon.  He really stepped up to the plate for Lily.  We get  a few bits and pieces of  his background  that leaves you craving more of the sexy suit wearing, chain smoking beast and it sure makes you want more.

Crazy woman living in an undisclosed location in Alaska (where the need for a creative mind is a necessity!), I have been writing since ..., forever? Yeah, that sounds about right. I have been told that I remind people of Lucille Ball - I also see shades of Jennifer Saunders, and Denis Leary. So basically, I laugh a lot, I'm clumsy a lot, and I say the F-word A LOT.
I like dogs more than I like most people, and I don't trust anyone who doesn't drink. No, I do not live in an igloo, and no, the sun does not set for six months out of the year, there's your Alaska lesson for the day. I have mermaid hair - both a curse and a blessing - and most of the time I talk so fast, even I can't understand me.
Yeah. I think that about sums me up.

Review Love Hurts & Love Burns "Caged Love Series" By Mandi Beck

Love Hurts (Caged Love #1) by Mandi Beck

Even when she won’t fight for us, I’ll go to war for her...

Inside the Octagon, I have no fear. I’m at home, in my element, inflicting pain onto men trained to hurt me just as badly. Making them submit, knocking them out, maiming them, because it’s them or me. And I choose them.

Outside the Octagon, my only weakness is a five-foot-two, classy as f*ck woman that I’ve loved for most of my life. She’s the one that brings me to my knees, fills my arms, my heart, and one day soon, my bed. She makes me reckless. Volatile. I drink too much and try too hard to f*ck my way out of feeling—all because of her.

Frankie De Rosa is my girl, my best friend. I haven’t earned her yet, but I won’t stand by and let anyone take her from me. She will be the greatest fight of my life, but she’s worth the battle.
Love hurts, but anything worth having does, right?
I’m Deacon “The Hitman” Love—Welcome to the Cage.

Love Burns (Caged Love #2) by Mandi Beck

Love.
It’s my name. It’s what I fight for. It’s Frankie.

I’m a fighter. Trained to always keep my cover. To anticipate, see the next hit coming. I never expected her past to come at us swinging like it has.

I’m about to take on two of the most important fights of my life. My girl and the belt. I know that I can handle it. That I’ll never stop fighting. But what do you do when your life, your love is threatened and you can't take the hits-she has to? You shut your eyes and f*cking pray like hell that she’s strong enough, fierce enough to come out on top.
I went to war for her. Now it's her turn.

Love Burns (Caged Love #2)

OMG !! I am still floored that this is a new author. WOW!!! What a fantastic read.

Love Burns is the perfect conclusion to Deacon and Frankie's story. Be prepared though it will not be an easy journey for these two. You will have a Tsunami of emotions flowing during Love Burns and for me it required tissue, "lots of tissue". Mandi Beck has has done an OUTSTANDING job with the Caged Love series. I simply can not wait for more.

READ THIS SERIES !!!

About the Author

Mandi Beck has been an avid reader all of her life. A deep love for books always had her jotting down little stories on napkins, notebooks, and her hand. As an adult she was further submerged into the book world through book clubs and the epicness of social media. It was then that she graduated to writing her stories on her phone and then finally on a proper computer.

A nursing student, mother to two rambunctious and somewhat rotten boys, and stepmom to two great girls away at college, she shares her time with her husband in Chicago where she was born and raised. Mandi is a diehard hockey fan and blames the Blackhawks when her deadlines are not met.

Love Hurts is her debut novel.

5 Star Review Beautiful Rugged by Sara V. Zook

5 Stars for
Beautiful Rugged
Author: Sara V. Zook
Contemporary Romance

Synopsis

Sometimes us silly girls fantasize about things that never come to be. I had expectations after college—expectations to run off with Jake Larson and start our life together in a little Pennsylvania farm town. I had my happiness mapped out inside my head. I didn’t expect to run into a strange, alluring man with a beard and dark hair stacked up on top of his head. I didn’t expect to be attracted to someone so—different. He was everything I didn’t know existed. He could make me feel things I’d never felt before. It didn’t seem possible that we could be together. We both had obligations. The world told us no, but we couldn’t stay away from one another, couldn’t deny that we were drawn together. He was so beautiful—so beautiful rugged. I was going to make him mine.

What a beautiful treat.. I have only read two other books by this author so far (The Pull and the Push) and I loved them both to the moon, but they totally ripped me apart. I was mentality preparing myself for Beautiful Rugged not sure what to expect. Let me just say I loved it... It's beautiful, pure, gentle, just an over all fabulous read.
